More Than Learning: It’s An Education
A lot of us think that in order to find a job, we must have an education. Now, whether you believe that or not depends on the person. We’ve been learning from the day we were born and continue to learn something new each and everyday.
Learning keeps the mind fresh and is an important role in our lives. When we learn we’re “educating” ourselves, which is even more important.
Why is it so important to have an education?
Job opportunities: When you have an education, you are now in demand and are needed by companies and employers. You open the doors to your dream job and can make a huge difference in your life and others.
Increase knowledge: Learning is very important because you are increasing your knowledge. Pick up a book once a month, watch the history channel or find other ways to increaes your knowledge.
Work the brain: When you learn, you’re keeping your brain fresh and healthy. You’re even reducing your risk of getting Alzheimer’s disease. Whether you do cross word puzzles, play sudoku, or you enjoy a good math problem once and a while, you are working your brain in many wonderful ways.
Accomplishments: When you have an education, you are allowing yourself to accomplish wonderful things. From learning how to read, to memorizing the alphabet, accomplishments come in little and big strides. Now, if you’ve graduated high school or college, feel great about that too because that took a lot of discipline and is a great accomplishment.
As you can see, there are many reasons that having an education is important. Whether you’re proud of just graduating high school or you further your education in college, it’s not just learning, it’s having an education to feel good about, and a feeling that unfortunately, not everyone gets to experience.
